Visualisations of public data with Google

Google have recently launched a Public Data Explorer which essentially allows one to visualise some of the public data out there (mainly from the U.S. though).

For instance, an interesting visualisation of cancer cases in the U.S. over a number of years can be viewed here.

Although I don’t particularly agree with some of the techniques used to visualise the information, it’s an interesting move by Google and it will be interesting to see how this resource evolves!
